About the role
Build the data platform behind a large Kubernetes-based service. You'll help engineering teams run their own storage and move data safely as the platform moves to independent deployment cells.
What you'll work on
- Plan the data platform roadmap and build tools for live migrations across cells and regions.
- Give teams self-service storage tools and improve reliability as data volumes grow.
- Work with platform and SRE teams, and mentor Staff and Senior engineers.
What the employer asks for
- Deep experience designing and running large-scale data platforms, including live migrations.
- Production experience with storage systems such as MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS managed data services, Kubernetes and containers.
- Experience with cell-based, multi-tenant or multi-region systems and building tools for other engineers.
